Peggy
Fisher
is the owner and accomplished photographer of Flowerscapes,
a Garden and Horticulture Stock Agency with an active slide library
of over 40,000 images that came into existence in 1992 when Peggy
took her 25 years experience as a home gardener, flower enthusiast,
and garden writer one step further and began photographing what
has become the resounding passion of her life--her love of flowers
and gardening.
Peggy Fisher
is also the author of Essential Shrubs (Crescent Books, 1990)
as well as co-author of three books, Encyclopedia of Flowers,
Essential Herbs, and Essential Roses. She is also
a Contributing Writer on several books, magazines and gardening
series including: Rodale Press' Rodale's All new Encyclopedia
of Organic Gardening; International Master's Publishers Gardening
Made Easy Series; and Beautiful Gardens Magazine.
Peggy Fisher
graduated from the University of Oregon in the Fall of 1972 with
a B.A. degree in English as well as a State of Oregon Teaching Certificate
in Secondary Education.
Additional studies
in the field of Horticulture include: a Certified Master Gardener
Certificate from the State of Oregon in 1992; extensive Coursework
from Longwood Gardens Horticulture Program, Longwood Gardens, Kennett
Square, PA from 1989-1991; Floral & Business Courses at Delaware
College of Agriculture, Doylestown, PA from 1988-1990; Botany and
Wildflower Identification Courses at Lane Community College, Eugene,
OR from 1979-81.

Currently, Peggy
